FilmTracker’s Discussions

FilmTracker’s discussions are private message boards for FilmTracker members to communicate with each other.  Shared by your groups, and PRIVATE (nobody outside the group can access).  Users receive emails notifications when new discussions are started and messages are posted.  Members can quickly create groups, control group membership, and post information. All content posted in your discussions is accessible only to YOUR group members.

How do I create a Group?

All you need to create a FilmTracker Group is register with FilmTracker and have the email addresses for the people you would like to invite to your new group. Once you have registered with FilmTracker, you can create a name for your new group, decide whether you want the group to be private or public (see ‘Who has access to my Group?’) and FilmTracker will take care of the rest.  Create a group now!

Who has access to my Group?

You and your group members are the only people that have access to your group. In fact, unless you create a public group that is open to any FilmTracker member, no one using the site will even know that you have a group. The information you post to your Message Board is not accessible, viewable, or editable by anyone but your group members. You are responsible for the information posted and controlling whom you invite into your group. Although FilmTracker will maintain complete privacy of your Message Boards and does not review your groups’ postings or information (see our Privacy Statement), we do reserve the right to remove unacceptable, offensive, or illegal information should it become necessary.

Is there a fee?

Our discussion boards and groups are completely free.

HOW TO:

START A DISCUSSION

1. You MUST be in a group to post a project!
2. Click MY FILMTRACKER
3. Click DISCUSSIONS on the Left navigation bar
4. Click NEW in the upper right hand corner
5. Enter the discussion TOPIC and DESCRIPTION
6. Click SAVE

POST A MESSAGE TO A DISCUSSION IN PROGRESS

1. Type your message in the Text box
2. Click POST MESSAGE

VIEW/HIDE MESSAGES

1. Click VIEW/HIDE MESSAGES

PRINT YOUR DISCUSSION BOARD

1. Click PRINTABLE VIEW

SEARCH DISCUSSIONS

1. Click SEARCH in the upper right hand corner
