STEP 1. ENTERING A PROJECT

  1. Click MY FILMTRACKER

  2. Click MY PROJECTS

  3. Click ADD A NEW PROJECT NOW. This will begin the 4 step process of entering a project starting with:

    1. Enter GENERAL INFORMATION:
      1. Project Title (Required)
      2. Type (Required) - Feature film, internet series, MOW, Novel, Novella, Short Film, Stage Play, TV Series, Miniseries
      3. Genres (Optional) - Select up to 3
      4. Project Status (Required) - In development, in preproduction, in production, in postproduction, available, released
      5. Status (free text; Optional) - Anything else you’d like to add about the status (such as ‘active development’ or ‘partially funded’)
      6. Start Date (Optional) - When principal photography is anticipated to begin
      7. Release Date (Optional) - If applicable; applies to domestic theatrical release
      8. Open Writing/Open Directing (Optional) - IMPORTANT: Check these boxes ONLY if your project is actively seeking to hire a writer or director!
      9. Budget (Optional)
      10. Publish My Project! (Optional) - EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!  Check this box ONLY if you want your material placed in the FilmTracker Marketplace!
      11. Logline (Optional) - 2-3 sentences about your project
      12. Keywords (Optional) - Open text, comma-separated keywords to help other members search for your material (Example: ‘fish-out-of-water, spy, haunted house’
      13. Short Summary (Optional) - 1 page summary of the project
      14. Details (Optional) - Additional details, such as awards, reviews, etc.
      15. Location (Optional) - Shooting locations for the project
      16. Click CONTINUE

    2. Edit CREDITS - Add people (including yourself), and companies that were/are involved in your project

      · NOTE: You can only add people and companies to your project if they are in your Rolodex.

      1. Click ADD PERSON CREDIT or ADD COMPANY CREDIT
      2. SEARCH for the PERSON/COMPANY to add from your Rolodex
      3. Select the PERSON/COMPANY and choose their CREDIT, STATUS and ROLE (if an actor)
      4. Click SAVE and CLOSE THIS WINDOW if you are finished adding credits
      5. If you’d like to add more credits, click CONTINUE

    3. CONTENT MANAGER

      • This step is OPTIONAL..
      • This is where you add content (media files) to your project. Click here for more information on entering content and content manager.
      • Content can be a screenplay, Cover Art (for books), Ebook files, Final Cut (video file), Manuscript, One Sheet, Play, Teaser, Teleplay, Trailer or treatment
      • We accept the following file formats: asf, asx, avi, doc, gif, html, jpg, mov, mpeg, pdf or txt
      • Content files can be no more than 10MB
      • To skip this entering content, click CONTINUE
      • Each content you add to a project costs $19.95
